The Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE), in collaboration with SMYAL, will host this 2-hour workshop will equip educators with a strong understanding of identity development in young children, language for talking about gender with colleagues and community members, and strategies for talking about gender with young kids. We will also provide specific media suggestions and activity ideas for discussing LGBTQ identities with students and normalizing gender diversity in the classroom.<\/p><p>This workshop is open to all staff who interact with students in pre-K-Grades 5 settings, including classroom educators, aides, social workers, and administrators.
