Youth House Case Manager
Samantha was born in New England (Go Patriots!) and raised in Florida. She attended Florida State University for her undergraduate and graduate career, ultimately graduating with a Master of Science in Criminology and a Master’s Degree in Social Work. She moved to Virginia in the Fall of 2017, with her significant other, full of lifelong dreams to work in a big city. Before joining the fabulous team at SMYAL, Samantha was a Residential Counselor at a female-identifying girls group home in Falls Church, VA that served individuals aged 14-21 involved within the court system or foster services.
Samantha loves giving back to the Washington, DC community and figuring out the best ways to conquer the various struggles that LGTBQ Youth face on a daily basis, as well as supporting them through their journey in young adulthood. Her greatest pride and joy is being an Ally to those individuals that deserve it the most!
When she is not working, Samantha is usually cheering in events for a non-profit cheerleading team that raises funds and awareness for the LGBTQ Community, also known as Cheer DC. In addition, you can find her at various sports stadiums in the country obsessing over my favorite teams! Go Noles!
