So much of our conversation around race, white supremacy, access, and equality center around a common rallying cry to allies: “Keep the conversation going!” We’re told to talk to our family, our friends, and our communities about these issues, but where do you start? Maybe you have a platform, but are worried about saying the wrong thing. Or you try to talk with your parents, only to have the conversation backfire, or fall flat. What do you do next?

FACILITATING CHANGE can help. Through three, interactive virtual workshops you’ll learn the skills you’ll need to successfully start the conversation. Each session will have a live transcript available for participant use. Sessions will be hosted on Zoom.

In this hour-long session we’ll learn what facilitation is, and how honing your facilitation skills can kickstart your organizing and activism at any level! This will be an interactive session. Please be prepared to come on video and off mute.

UNPACK/ED is a social justice education project, founded by youth educator and trainer, Rebecca York, dedicated to making hard conversations easier. Through free, online resources, and engaging virtual workshops, UNPACK/ED can help you tackle conversations about diversity, equity, and inclusion.
