Lamar Braithwaite is a licensed real estate agent in DC, Maryland and Virginia who brings more than 20 years of professional experience to the Coldwell Banker Dupont/Logan Office in Washington, DC. Lamar specializes in assisting first-time buyers and new arrivals to the dynamic DC Metro real-estate scene. Before his career in real estate, Lamar spent more than a decade in nonprofit management and youth and child development, primarily with the YMCAs of Hampton Roads, Greater Richmond, and Metropolitan Washington. In a series of progressive roles, he managed $1-million-plus budgets; built high-performing teams; interacted with volunteers, parents, and community partners; led the annual summer camp program serving hundreds of youth per year; and provided both strategic and day-to-day leadership of multiple YMCA programs. He is active in the community, including work volunteering with the YMCA of Metropolitan Washington, being on the board of SYMAL, and being a member of the Metropolitan Community Church of DC Gospel Choir. Lamar is a native of Virginia Beach, Virginia, and lives in Georgetown with his husband, Dale Curtis.
