These specialized trainings equip school personnel with knowledge and strategies to address the challenges LGBTQ+ youth face, including how to prevent bullying, encourage allyship, and comply with inclusive policies.
Tailored for students, these sessions offer education on LGBTQ+ issues, promote respect and empathy, and empower students to become allies for their queer and trans peers. These may be offered for entire grade levels or individual classrooms.

Bring SMYAL’s expert staff into your Rainbow Club or GSA for a one-off engagement or ongoing workshop or learning series.
SMYAL is a proud partner of the Gender and Sexualities (GSA) Network.
The GSA Network empowers queer, trans, and allied youth leaders to organize and mobilize a movement that advocates for safer schools and healthier communities. By providing leadership and activist training, we support the next generation as they lead the charge for LGBTQ+ rights and social justice.
SMYAL can support youth and staff in starting a GSA at your school. If you are already a club advisor or leader, SMYAL can provide training and support for existing GSA groups. If interested, contact [email protected].
SMYAL’s trained mental health clinicians are able to offer support to in-school communities by providing group therapy for Rainbow Clubs and GSAs. To learn more about bringing SMYAL’s therapists to your school community contact [email protected].
SMYAL offers tabling at school and community resource fairs where we provide essential information, resources, and support for LGBTQ+ youth and their allies. By engaging directly with the community, we raise awareness of our programs, promote inclusivity, and connect youth with safe spaces and empowering opportunities.
If you’re interested in hosting SMYAL at an event, please contact [email protected].
