Amiyah Taylor (they/them) is a 23-year-old student seeking higher education in the psychology field at the University of Maryland Global Campus. They hope to use this education to pursue leadership in the local LGBTQIA+ community, and educate their peers on methods of breaking barriers in the education system. Amiyah is a passionate advocate, not only in their goal to be themselves in everything they do, but as an advocate for other youth uplifting those around them in the SMYAL Housing program and the Us Helping Us T.G.N.C. Workforce development program. Amiyah shines as a community leader in the Us Helping Us Project Growth Program, where they are the top performing Fellow, and have completed more Soft Skills Certifications than any other Fellow.
