Annie is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) and DC native who comes to SMYAL with a robust history of working with youth and families in various settings including schools, summer camps, and outpatient mental health programs. She finds herself innately attuned to meeting the specific needs and challenges that come with adolescence and young adulthood and strives to develop warm and authentic therapeutic relationships with her clients.
Annie received their bachelor’s in sociology from The University of North Carolina Asheville, focusing on women, gender, and sexuality studies. They later earned their master’s in social work from The University of Denver with a concentration in mental health and trauma. Outside of work, you can find Annie mediocrely playing the ukulele, covered in chalk at the bouldering gym, goofin’ off with her two cats, or in nature hiking and camping.
