Rami Zein graduated from Rock Ridge High in Ashland, VA. Prior to coming out to his parents, Rami endured severe mental health struggles, yet continued to be a positive role model to his friends and siblings. After coming out, Rami was asked to leave his home, and has been working to support himself ever since. This includes a job at Ulta, breaking down gender stereotypes in the field of makeup. We are honoring Rami for his perseverance as an out LGBTQ leader in the face of his personal obstacles. Rami will attend Pace University where he intends to study business production and screen acting with aspirations of producing films or creating gender neutral make up lines. He will embark on his collegiate journey without the financial support of his parents.
