Caro Vorndran is SMYAL’s Development Coordinator! From 2022-2023, Caro was the Communications & Development Youth Fellow before joining the SMYAL team full-time.

Caro has been involved with various Environmental & Social Justice groups throughout high school and college, and is excited for the opportunity to serve LGBTQ+ youth in DC.

They are originally from Madison, Wisconsin, but grew up in Virginia Beach just a few hours south of DC. Caro moved to DC in 2019 to attend American University, where they graduated with degrees in Sociology & Political Science.

In their free time, Caro loves to play with their 2 cats, explore DC’s trails, and make linocut prints.
