Laura Fraher is a practicing attorney. She received her JD from St. John’s University School of Law in 2001. She served as a law clerk to the Hon. Joanna Seybert of the US District Court for the Eastern District of New York from 2002-2004 and has spent the remainder of her career with private law firms in New York City and Washington DC.
Laura has lived in Washington DC since 2007. She played rugby for a number of years with the Washington Women’s Rugby Football Club and remains an active alumni member of the club. She has served on the board of Team DC, the Washington DC based non-profit association of LGBTQ+ sports and recreation organizations, since 2019 and currently serves as the Vice President of Team DC. She also currently serves as the Co-Chair of the SMYAL Major Donor Committee.
