Outreach and Volunteer Coordinator
Leo is the Outreach and Volunteer Coordinator at SMYAL, where they work to enhance community engagement with SMYAL’s resources and connect more LGBTQ+ youth and their supporters to SMYAL’s services and programs. Leo comes to SMYAL after two years of working in the non-profit space advocating for the inclusion and participation of folks with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the community. They also have experience working as an elementary school educator in DC Public Schools.
Leo is a graduate of Haverford College and has a B.S. in Psychology with a minor in Educational Studies.
When not at SMYAL, Leo can be found playing soccer with friends, relaxing with their adorable cat, or running through Rock Creek Park.
