Nathan Handberg is a recent graduate of Freedom High School in Chantilly, Virginia. Nathan is a compassionate leader, having run their school’s LGBTQ club and as a Peer Health Fellow at SMYAL. Nathan‘s involvement at SMYAL has taken on many forms from attending programs, leading workshops, and providing safer sex information to their peers in the community. Nathan‘s leadership skills stem from their commitment and passion for empowering LGBTQ youth. They have been praised for being a warmhearted listener and an advocate for their peers.
